I'm currently in Barcelona. Head to a Madrid tomorrow. Will type more up when I return.

DFW to support an AAM flight test using live helicopters as surrogates for eVTOLS next week.

Then Morgan Hills, CA for an ASTM meeting.

Gets some miles and hotel points for me.

I'm headed to Breckenridge (TX)... not as exotic as some other folks in here.

West Fort Worth or Hurst/Arlington?

I worked at both West Fort Worth and Hurst/Arlington (that was my job before this one). Interesting note: the address is now Fort Worth, not Hurst. They moved the official address from Hwy 10/Hurst Blvd to Bell Spur (renamed to Bell Flight Blvd) and voila, they're in Fort Worth now. I assume FW gave them a better tax deal.

But...that link is ALSO me...

I'm at Lone Star UAS Center of Excellence now (based out of TAMU-CC). I was the test director for those flight tests.

I'm in the pic.

We're doing a different but related mission this time.

So my Spain trip was more eventful than I would have liked.

Left Houston 3 hours late as the windshield wipers wouldn't turn off on the plane. Originally had a 5 hour layover so no biggie. Wrong.

Then we are less than 45 minute from Newark. They tell us we have to circle for an hour because of weather, but that we don't have enough full for an hour. 45 minutes later we divert to Dulles.

Sit on the plane for 1 hr 45 minutes before we could get off, as they unloaded the two 737's first.

Spent nearly 3 hours at Dulles. Originally had multiple flight options but couldn't get our luggage. Finally got rebooked on on IAD-BCN the following day and was assured our luggage would be sent. Wrong again.

Spent 5-6 hours our first day shopping and that was a bust. I'm larger than most Europeans and resulted in many tears.

Made the best of the next day and luggage finally got there around 9PM. Did a day tour Sunday and went to Madrid Monday AM. Flying home currently for my first time in Polaris. Pretty darn nice.

Hope to go back for longer but at least we got to see some sights.

This was my favorite thing I ate.

Perfect time of year to go! Man, I miss the April Keeneland meet.

We are headed to XCaret in Playa del Carmen this weekend for a short time. The rest of the month, travel basketball and softball teams take over the schedule for short trips.

New Orleans this weekend for a Rugby playoff match. We're also surprising our teenage daughter with a trip to NY the last 5 days of April. We'll see Hamilton on Broadway and do much of the other typical touristy things.

Would you mind doing a trip report? I have everything but airfare booked for a trip to Montreal/Quebec in May. I'll prob pull the trigger on flights in a day or two. Prices are stupid, but they haven't really increased, so I'll just suck it up. Everything else is reasonably affordable.

Absolutely! We took a gamble booking a trip for April with the weather. Wish we'd held out for May or June - oh well!

Florence for a quick work trip. I shouldn't complain, it's Florence, but it's been two years of Portland, OR to either Florence or Budapest for a spin client once a quarter. Such a haul from the west coast when you have to be there Monday morning with your game face on. Then one more Boston trip and this bad boy is separated.

Then nothing, really. Bend in two weeks for some sun and skiing.

Planning our van trip. It's been delayed to June (up-fitter is too good so they have too much work), but getting stoked. From BC to Disney in LA and everything in-between. 8 week sabbatical in total to meander. Let's go!

Same here with Yosemite. Forecast has changed and it's saying snow again on Saturday and a rainy weekend. Not a snow storm, but cloudy, rainy/snowy, and cold is not my preference for all day hiking.
