Any suggestions for a group dinner in DC?

Seafood is preferred.

+ 1 on Old Ebbitt Grill although they don't have the greatest set up for groups and it can get loud. Would also check with their sister restaurants The Hamilton around the corner or Clyde's in Georgetown - they have more space/flexibility to give you something more private.

Depending on factors like your budget and the neighborhood you want to be in, another option could be Hank's Oyster Bar at the Wharf. Joe's Seafood & Prime or Ocean Prime are good but very expensive and more steakhouses with great seafood.

I do not recommend Tony & Joe's or Oceannaire they are very expensive but not justifiably so.

Al Tiramisu - P Street, Dupont Circle. Small restaurant that often has folks from the Italian Embassy....and they bring whole fresh fish to the table for you to choose what you want. My son and his coworker just took 8 business folks from Tx and they raved about the seafood. Our exchange student, from Sardinia, said this place reminded him of home....owner is from Capri.
