It's a back. Many of them don't ever get healthy.

Tiger with a great approach on 16. Good chance for first birdie

Tiger finishes 9 at +1. Scrambling for pars. Can't hit greens or fairways

His stats say he has only hit two greens and two fairways.

I thought he had hit three greens (both the par 5s and the one where he made birdie). Even if it was three instead of two that is still not very good. Kinda amazing he is only one over with those kind of stats.

Does anybody know if all the caddies have the golfers University on their name plate? Looks like it but can't tell. And why?

They're suing the PGA over the bibs.

In the 39-page lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in California, the 82 caddies named as plaintiffs claim they "are made to serve as billboards to advertise, at the direction of the PGA Tour, for some of the most profitable companies in the world without compensation."

The total damages the caddies are seeking could be in the range of "hundreds of millions of dollars."

Really??

Interesting and makes sense. But what does that have to do with the players University logo on the nameplate on the back of the bib?

They are suing, but that wouldn't be why they have the schools. The tournament does a partnership every year with the NCAA. Basically, the low score on the college day makes money for their school.

Seems like a fairly reasonable complaint.

I just now turned it on. I just assumed they had replaced the companies with the school logo. Sorry.

Tremendous birdie by tiger. Back to even

No way Tiger finishes this weekend, even if he makes the cut, right?

Having to constantly hit out of that nasty rough is not good for a bad back.

Doesn't look like it. He needs the reps but he won't make masters like this physically

Lindsay is not going to like that. I hope he locks his 9 iron away this time.

Holy crap. That bad? He needs to WD and get healed.

The way people on this thread and @gctigertracker are talking it doesn't sound like there's much chance he doesn't WD in the next hour or so.

Sounds really bad.

If I was Tiger Woods, as soon as I felt back pain I'd walk off the course and into a doctor's office. Not sure how sticking it out this round is a good idea.

Yeah, it's the ****in Farmers. Take it to the house if it really hurts that bad.

Wow, horrible shot by Tiger. #2 is easy Par 4. He hits it right into deep rough. Bunker in front of him then green. He hits it OVER the gallery behind the green.
bagger05
4:28p, 2/5/15
Yikes... Wouldn't surprise me to see a WD come after all that.

Follows up getting it half way to the green.

On in four with a long putt for bogey.

And now we appear to have reached the "I don't care anymore" phase of the round.

I'd say that now, officially, for the first time, I have switched from thinking Tiger will catch Jack to thinking he won't. He can't get healthy.

WD, man he is hurting.

Back problems are the beotch of all beotches. Debilitating, and treatment tends to be more along the lines of damage control vs. ever getting truly corrected and well again. And swinging a golf club 120mph or swinging it through 6 inch rough doesn't help with damage control.

I'm starting to think he won't ever win another major. Sometimes backs just don't ever get better.
