Weirdest golf club you have seen?

My daughter and I were playing a few holes at Sharpstown after her First Tee class and we pair up with a gentleman on hole 3. He had the weirdest club I have ever seen. The brand was Thomas Golf, specifically AT 185 25/55. It was a hybrid head, almost round, with a 55 degree face. It could easily double as a door stop . I took pictures but can't post them. I found the club on ebay...

The pictures don't do it justice just how weird it looks, basically a hybrid head sand wedge. For a visual, imagine a 3-4" piece of 2x4, put it on a miter saw and chop a 55 degree angle on it, round the sharp edges and attach a shaft to. The man could not hit a regular sand wedge out of the bunker, but he could basically "bump" the ball out with this hybrid wedge. It had an alignment mark similar to a putter.

What is weirdest club you have ever seen?

Not unusual anymore, but at the time the Spyder putter seemed crazy. I remember watching DJ play with it and thinking it was hideous. Now it seems pretty normal.

And the VAS has a major championship trophy! No clue how he was able to look at those things with any confidence.

Alien wedge and the VAS irons are what immediately came to mind. Those infomercials on golf channel for the alien wedge were awesome.

Someone, maybe Ping? had a GIANT half-moon type putter that was very odd.

I could be totally mis-remembering this, but I thought when I was a kid back in the mid 80's that I saw Bernhard Langer on TV using a putter that had golf balls in it. Similar to the Odyssey two ball putter, but with actual golf balls. Or maybe the picture was so bad it just looked like real golf balls?

My step-dad played the Alien. Have it in my garage bag.

I once had an 80 degree lob wedge. It had no bounce.

Pretty sure I have one of these things in the attic somewhere. It has a square grip.

If anyone has a Nike SQ driver they want to get rid of I'll take it.

Never had the driver personally but have hit them a few times and it's some of the best driving I've done. I weirdly felt confident with the big square.

My buddy gamed that Nike square head driver for a long time. He couldn't miss a fairway with that thing but it sounded like you were pounding a metal trash can and it only went about 235 if he pured it.
