For those of you who grew up with Lyle and Hahn, ( it may have also been the previous morning show before ). There used to be a couple songs they always played in the Monday morning show

One was " I Don't like Mondays" by Boomtown Rats

I was hoping this could trigger a memory by someone out there who could remember the other song they always played

I'm not good on remembering the actual songs. My mother-in-law actually went on Uncle Johnny's Meat Market one time. The dude ended up being a little weird but basically harmless and nothing came of it.

There is a group on Facebook that could probably answer your question, Classic San Antonio: 1950-1999. There are a lot of members who post questions like this.

Or the San Antonio boards on Reddit, if you want to mingle with the lowest part of the internet.

Chuck Stanley was their producer for a while, used to be active on social media. I think he's into bbq now. You may be able to find him.

I remember a guy threatening to jump off an overpass in SA. Lyle and Hahn dedicated the Van Halen song Jump to him. That's the only thing I can remember from the show.

Didn't they do the knock knock man skit? That thing was hilarious to listen to. I could be wrong though.

I grew up in the Buda/Kyle area. 99.5 KISS was a big deal for us if you could pick it up. It usually came with a lot of static. I remember it being a big deal that they were one of the first stations to play Motley Crue's "Shout at the Devil"

That song seems so tame now.

They used to play "Powertrip" by Monster Magnet

I'm way too busy power tripping
But I'm gonna shed you some light

Dammit. I remember that now. It was spoken at the beginning of the song like a clip from a movie. Now it is going to drive me bonkers until someone helps us out. I obviously don't Google well enough to have figured it out on my own.

Whoa. Even by weird 1970s prog rock standards, that song was... special.

I only listened to it once. Were Jenny and Jacob doing each other? Did Jacob kill Jenny's husband?

This thread reminds me that Joe Anthony used to play this classic. I'm sure Tom Scheppke did back in the day, too. Oh, T-Bone has a Saturday afternoon show on KSYM now.

Now what was the slow mellow song they played while Lisle rambled before the primal scream?
