Might've missed this, but Grayson long tweeted a pic of AJ post surgery. Didn't know he was hurt, anyone know the damage?

He had shoulder surgery in 2010 that sidelined him for half of 2011, then had Tommy John surgery in May 2012. Have heard nothing since then. Maybe the tweet was about the Tommy John operation.

Talked with him after Dugout Club meeting in May. he told me about the surgery then...it has been planned for a while.
He had arm problems during the entire 2013 season, which limited him to short stints of 1-2 innings, any more than that was too much for his arm.
I've been told that he has the best arm on the team, throws 95, plans on coming back next year and, assuming successful surgery, will compete for position in weekend starting rotation.

Like all of Rob's recruits / players, he's a super young man, fun to be around and talk to, a credit to the program.

Any current information on A.J. Minter's arm? Does he still plan on pitching for the Aggies next season ?

I sincerely hope for the best, especially the optimistic idea of him being a rotation guy since he's a lefty.
However, in the RC era(but based on absolutely no inside knowledge)...I'll assume we never see him again.

That sounds very good. Sure hope he makes it back. It sounds like he could really help us next year.

TJ is elbow that's the surgery he just had. In 2013 he had Thoracic Outlet which is in the lower neck/upper chest area.

That quote is incorrect. He had rib removed in 2013 which is thoracic and Tommy John surgery in March 2015.

Recovery from Tommy John is usually 14 months, I've been told he'll likely not pitch again at A&M, will sign with MLB.
