I think it's gonna have to be each at bat. That's how it worked with the bourbon the last time I did this.

Good outing by Schlottman waisted by relief. Not much to say about Jester, was terrible tonight.

I simply do not understand PH Statum with his 0 for 3 PH stat. Lost opportunities and Jester's start, just does not spell success.

That's what happens when you don't have a real closer and your best option has an 88 mile per hour fastball. You're just going to get beat by good hitting teams. Once again, not surprisingly, the pitching, more than our hitting, let us down. Great job by Schlottman and a decent effort by Parker, just doesn't have a quite good enough fastball to pair with his great change up and breaking pitches. Get with it tomorrow, Ags, or we'll be going down fast!

Jester is a D-3 JUCO pitcher...why does everyone keep thinking he's gonna all the sudden be good?
11:02p, 4/18/14
What happened to Gabe's stay that a 1-2 count is going to end up an out 90% of the time?

He holds the Aggie record for saves in a season.
He had a pretty good year last year.
However, I don't know why he was moved to the Friday night starter.

I just got home and read the thread. It was a very good day until 15 minutes ago. The things you can't make right are often the most frustrating.

I don't see who you can keep throwing Jester out there in meaningful situations.
After tonight, he has a 5.59 ERA in 19 1/3 innings giving up 31 hits and allowing 12 walks. That is a lot of traffic every inning he is out there. Opponents are batting .373 against him.

It's got to be either really great coaching with our pitching staff or really great recruiting that would explain our less than .500 team play this year. Jester with an ERA over 5.00, Mengden over 4.00 and the rest of our guys anywhere from just competitive to not very good at all. Considering this is supposed to be RC's strong point as a coach, pretty disappointing.

We had two big hit players in Nau and Melton, either one should have gotten the call to PH in the 9th.
