He's definitely got white man's disease. He can't jump.

Schott is not that good in left. He's had multiple chances to make a big play out there this weekend and whiffed all of them.

Halfway to Lake city for a ball that hit the white trash pergola in left field 4 inches from the wall

That isn't even close to a ball you expect a guy to catch.
Fquin said:
Not ridiculous. He and our center fielder have both botched makeable plays this series because they are afraid of the fence.

We just don't have the power or go to tie this thing up. What a shame

We've been coasting playing garbage teams. We are playing a very good team at home where you hit pop up he's.
We got some work to do lots of things to work on.

Well, if I could pick a pitcher to bat against, McNellie would be it - 1-3, 8.1 IP, 17.28 ERA.

It's not ridiculous at all. I'm just as much of a regular here as anyone, not some football board doomer. The starting pitching took a serious step back (except today, ironically), and there have been a lot of wasted chances to not lose the series, if they ultimately do.
This may not matter at all after two more SEC weekends. But I actually did expect this team to look clearly better than one that came in 10-6 after playing Saint Mary's. Because we looked so good that it reset my expectations. That's all.

Just checking in for the day, bad timing I realize, but this has been a disappointing showing. There's 27 SEC games left so in the grand scheme it's nothing yet, but there's a lot more to work on than I thought coming in. I felt like this team should be top 3 and now I'm not sure.
This is ridiculous. Playing a top 10 team on the road with a chance to still take the series.

There's a reason why when Sorrell starts, Schott plays DH. Sorrell is way more athletic.

An argument can be made for this point. I myself have advocated for putting Sorrell in left for his defense since Schott is not a great defensive outfielder.Quote:

Not remotely true and a trashy thing to say

GG, Jace, and Bmont have been good for 2 RBI many times this year already.
Time for Orlando (eh, Gainesville) Magic at Con Dron Family Field on this freshman fresh meat!

Taking 2/3 against a team ranked lower than you with a 10-6 record is wild ass expectations?
Baseball is baseball. Expecting a sweep would be wild ass. Thinking they could pull out two with the Friday guy not giving up 6 seems reasonable if uncertain.
