Luken Baker hit .334 with 33 HR and 98 RBI in 314 ABs last season with the AAA Memphis Redbirds. He is one of the few things I'm excited about with the Cardinals this year, but I'm very excited about him.

Was total garbage. Ali was literally balance beaming the white foul line. Where the hell else was he supposed to run?!?

And I got some heat on another thread for suggesting this would be a good opportunity to let Braden pitch!ThunderFighter06 said:Tonight's starter ➡️ @B_mont_ #GigEm pic.twitter.com/OwL9XwAb1r

The rule says he has to run between the foul line and the parallel line inside foul territory. Not on the line. So the problem can be doing that and then stepping on first base, so I can see where the orange base will help.

For a dropped 3rd strike, the 1st baseman is going to have time to set up on one of the bags well before the runner gets there and the runner will go to the other bag. So the runner will read the 1st baseman's position. If a bad throw pulls the first basement to the other side at the last minute, there will still be collisions, but there will be less of them.McInnis said:
I understand the logic of this, but on a dropped 3rd strike that pulls the first baseman to the orange bag it says the runner "would" use the white bag. Is the runner obligated to figure out where the throw is pulling the first baseman?
Run in the runners lane and to the orange base. If the runner does that they are protected. There can still be collision, but the runner is protected from being called out for it.Quote:
And what if it's a little dribbler in front of the plate that the catcher fields instead of a dropped strike and his throw to first is on the orange base side?

I would surely think that Schloss will keep Braden on a very low pitch count tonight. We definitely will need him 100% physically at the plate and in OF for the Miss. St series this weekend. It will be exciting to see what he can do on the mound as a starter though!

I know Joe and Cole. They aren't the worst but they are on the list.
