Has really been coming into his own lately and is reminding me a young freshman for the Aggies last year who was getting into the swing of things this time last season...

So y'all know my kids are completely baseball obsessed and my 4 year old has the roster memorized.
For several weeks, he couldn't say Gavin Grahovac. It kept coming out "Gav is a hoe bag" and I almost didn't want to correct him.

Dude is an absolute stud to come in as a true freshman, batting leadoff, and do the damage he does.

Did they happen to give a distance on the grand slam?
It appeared to have cleared the video board but was hard to tell on the broadcast.

I want GG, Jace and Braden leading this team in at bats. I say leave it alone.

FWIW Apple's OBP is around 100 points higher than Grahovac's so to add to a couple of previous posts, I would also be interested to see him hitting leadoff with some combination of Grahovac/Montgomery/LaViollete in the 2-3-4 spot

To play a little devils advocate on that, I'd like them to leads the team in at-bats with runners on base

Fair. My angle is GG is seeing great pitches as a Frosh because of the bats behind him.

Totally related of course....
I was coaching 7 year old coach-pitch softball and I had my best hitter batting leadoff to get her more at-bats. Her dad was a total a$%# and complained that she should be batting 4th. Since it was 7 year old ball and he cared way more than I did, I made the switch.
Had I kept her at leadoff the next game, she would have come up to bat twice with the bases loaded.
There's no lessons or conclusions to be had here, just a really good story.

We are very lucky to have him. Thank you NIL! Kid should be in MLB, playing farm ball.
Can you imagine him as a Junior? He is gonna be a ball killer and should drastically improve his defensive play. Insanely high potential to be a 1st rounder. Becoming one of our favorite players.

Nolan Cain is one of the top 2 or 3 recruiters in the country ….. he and Schloss make a pretty good 1-2 punch. When Early and Boy Wonder figure out the recruiting game - LOOK OUT .

I agree. The coaches know infinitely more about the players and who belongs where in the lineup.Bullpen Chias said:Wabs said:t - cam said:

At the 2nd Georgia game, my son and I sat in the 3rd base lawn and got to be up and close! Crazy that Gavin is only 18 years old! He is HUGE!!! 6'-2" and 220. He been eatin' his chili!!

Not to derail this thread but I quick observation on Binderup. I knew he was 6'6" but seeing him stand at the mound with the team during a pitching discussion he looked like a giant. Especially standing next to Ali, Chetnut, and Appel.caleblyn said:
