Monty has been stuck on 51 for a few games (i.e. last weekend and UTSA)
Time for a string of ribbies this weekend.

We knew we'd hit. The pitching stats are unreal after what we had last season.

Updated OP.
  • We went up in every single category except for Teddy Freebags dropping a couple spots after only walking once this weekend
  • Getting closer to Arky in the team pitching categories (and passed them in shutouts)
  • We entered the top 50 in team batting average and Aschenbeck now qualifies on the ERA leaderboard
  • Braden is now the NCAA leader in RBI

Consider that at least 20 times this year, he's come up to bat AFTER Tubby has cleared the bases with a HR. And Gavin before him has done the same.

NCAA Stat Nuggets:
  • Obviously Braden's 0-for-the-weekend set him back in some categories (and dropped him completely off the OBP leaderboard), but LaViolette jumped up in quite a few.
  • Our fielding percentage went from 4th to 28th
  • Hey there, Sorrel!
  • Ridiculous Condon Stat: He leads the NCAA in total bases with 200. The batter in second has 169.
  • Braden still leads the SEC in RBI (73) to Condon's 69. Nice

Upcoming Series:
  • Ole Miss is second from the bottom in SEC BA (.266) and ERA (6.09)
  • A&M is second and third, respectively (.313, 3.89)
  • Ole Miss is last in fielding percentage (9.65). A&M is 4th (.979)
  • Ole Miss leads the league in sac flies! Joey Gallo removed his name from the upcoming coaching search.

It's finally here, the Friday Night Showdown between Prager and Hagen Smith
  • Prager: 2.71 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, .208 BAA, 136 K, 9 HR/54 H/12 BB allowed
  • Smith: 1.65 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, .138 BAA, 95 K, 4 HR/33 H/29 BB allowed
  • It looks like Hagen's one weakness is walks...let's hope we can work him for lots
