I think Eric Reed is the fastest player I saw in person (which includes Tyner). Reed doesn't get remembered, probably because he didn't hit all that well, and he didn't play on great teams. He was an outstanding defensive center fielder though.

Most people have no idea how easy it would be for a freshman in game 35 to just take that easy and jog to 2nd. But to go hard and get to 3rd there forces a lot of messiness.

Totally forgot about him, but if he was faster than Tyner then not many people know that. He was definitely fast but I don't remember any Aggie player faster than Tyner since I started following in '89.
