"GOOD" is not an Aggie baseball thing, its a college baseball thing. My son is a freshman pitcher at a D1 JUCO and they do this as well (as well as every team they play). Hitting and the batter takes a close pitch for a ball, entire dugout yells GOOD. On defense and pitcher spots a called strike on the corner, dugout yells GOOD.

LHA, I am thinking that others are doing it for different reasons:

The reasons you cite are actually good things. I don't see our team sees it this way...

They don't think we are good enough to be ranked #1? Good. We will prove them wrong.

Visiting team goes up 9-0 after their first AB? Good. We will run rule them in 7.

No matter what bad happens, Good. It is an opportunity to get better.

Maybe I'm wrong...
