Whether you kneel at the pew of Ricky Bobby’s “win at all cost” religion or not, there’s little debate that, as Vince Lombardi once claimed, “winning is everything”.

However, life — and, of course, football — aren’t as clear-cut. Sure, winning is everything, and the scoreboard never lies.
