There is again an open competition for Texas A&M’s starting quarterback job, though there is seemingly some contradiction as to why.

Coach Kevin Sumlin indicated during his weekly Tuesday press conference that inconsistent quarterback play forced the staff to consider demoting freshman Kyler Murray for this week’s game against Vanderbilt.
