A magnificent showing by Savion Flagg ensured 11th seed Texas A&M would extend its basketball season and  Billy Kennedy’s coaching tenure at least one more day.

Flagg scored 17 of his career-high 29 points in a decisive first half and propelled the Aggies (14-17) to a 69-52 victory over 14th-seed Vanderbilt (9-23) on Wednesday night in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
