One heck of a player! RIP Ed.
Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and myself founded empires; but upon what foundation did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force! But Jesus Christ founded His upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for Him. - Napoleon Bonaparte

I was at that '75 tu game and Ed and the Aggie defense was just outstanding. Many great memories of that day for me.
One of the All Time greats at A&M.
I am so sorry and saddened to hear of his passing.
RIP

I can still hear CK Esten on the PA system at Kyle as he shouts Ed Simmonninniiiiiii on the tackle. He was one of the all time greats and will be missed for sure!

My childhood favorite and hero. Still remember him flying all around the field with his "77" jersey untucked (after the second play of the game, or so).
