This is a brand new piece of content where I go around and highlight some of the top performances on the field on the high school circuit. Each week, I'll examine one Texas A&M commit, one player from across the state of Texas and the top performance from games I attended.

Texas A&M’s 2024 Class

2024 Phenix City (AL) Central WR Cameron Coleman‍

• 9 receptions, 138 yards, 2 touchdowns in a 48-24 win over Hewitt Trussville 

He's a five-star for a reason.

Coleman is an outstanding blend of current production and future projection. He's got a fantastic frame that will hold 15-20 more pounds without issue. He's a dynamic route runner with good wiggle and shiftiness at the top of routes to create separation. There's also elite pass-catching ability.

He doesn't fight the football in any way and turns 50/50 balls into his favor more often than not. In the Twitter video above, there's also clips of him flashing toughness after the catch and a willingness to get physical downfield as a blocker.

Overall, a sensational start for Texas A&M’s top rated commit in the class.

State of Texas

2025 Lubbock Estacado ATH Bobby Ross‍

• 14 rushes, 262 yards, 5 touchdowns plus 5 tackles and a sack in a 65-51 win over Midland Greenwood

We probably haven't talked enough about the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder from West Texas, but Ross made sure the discussion surrounding him as a prospect would pick up with a monster outing in Week 1.

That highlight clip above has a little bit of everything — power, speed, violence, athleticism. The descriptors are abundant.

Ross is an interesting prospect because of his size as a junior. That frame is going to hold more mass, so I'm sure college coaches could be eyeing him as a linebacker at the next level.

Regardless, in terms of overall football players, Ross looks like he's staking his claim early on as the top guy in that class.

2026 Fort Bend Marshall LB Noriel PacMan Dominguez‍

• 10 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL for a safety and 2 QB pressures in a 21-15 overtime win over Klein

At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, Dominguez already possesses a great linebacking frame, and on Friday night, he began to prove that he's got the production to match.

He was all over the place and got his team on the board for the season with a TFL that resulted in a safety.

“PacMan,” as most call him, should be chomping his way to more offers in the near future, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Texas A&M being among those throwing their hat in the ring at some point this season. Very impressive opening night for the sophomore backer.
