On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as No. 3 Aggie baseball will host No. 6 Vanderbilt, softball heads to Tuscaloosa and much more. 


Football
Mike Elko & Co. have made another addition out of the transfer portal as former Central Florida defensive lineman Joshua Celiscar on Monday. As a junior in 2023, Celiscar made 13 starts and made 47 tackles, including four tackles for loss.

Baseball
No. 6 Vanderbilt is in town for a three-game set against your third-ranked Fightin’ Texas Aggies. 

  • Friday: 6 p.m. on SEC Network+
  • Saturday: 7:30 p.m. SEC Network
  • Sunday: 1 p.m. on SEC Network+

Softball
Trisha Ford’s No. 12 Aggies head to Tuscaloosa for an all-important road series against the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide. 

  • Saturday: 11:30 a.m. on ESPN2
  • Sunday: 3:30 p.m. on ESPN2
  • Monday: 6:00 p.m. on SEC Network

Basketball
Texas A&M’s Tyrece Radford received an invitation to the 2024 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament which has been showcasing the talents of senior college basketball players to professional scouts since 1953. The 70th P.I.T. will be contested April 17-20, with eight teams of eight players playing 12 games in four days.

Women’s basketball
There are four Texas A&M WBB players in the portal:

  • Janiah Barker, 6’4, F, So. (12.2 ppg)
  • Kay Kay Green, 5’6, G, Sr. (2.7 ppg)
  • Maliyah Johnson, 6’3, F, Jr. (3 ppg)
  • Tineya Hylton, 5’7, G, Jr. (4.1 ppg)

Graduate guard Endyia Rogers declared for the WNBA Draft. 

Women’s Golf
The reigning SEC champion Texas A&M women's golf team aims for back-to-back league titles for the second time in program history April 12-16 at the 2024 SEC Championships at the Pelican Golf Club.

Track & Field
Splitting up this week, Pat Henry's No.1 men's and women's squads are heading to the West and East Coast this weekend to participate in the Bryan Clay Invitational and Tom Jones Memorial Invitational.

Equestrian
The Texas A&M equestrian team garnered eight All-SEC honors and Tana McKay was named the SEC Co-Coach of the Year, as the league announced its awards for the 2024 season Thursday afternoon. 

Tennis 
Both men’s and women’s tennis will face Auburn on Friday and Alabama on Sunday.

Soccer
Aggie soccer will play some spring matches in San Marcos on Saturday against A&M-CC and Texas State. 

Volleyball
Jamie Morrison’s Aggies will have a spring volleyball match at Texas State.
