Twice as nice.

One week after earning the first weekly honor of his career, Texas A&M third baseman Gavin Grahovac doubled that total.

On Monday, Grahovac was named the Southeastern Conference’s Freshman of the Week for a second straight week.

Two weeks ago, the kid from Orange, California, tormented the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Last weekend, he was not too kind to the Alabama Crimson Tide and played a vital role in A&M becoming the first team to leave Sewell-Thomas Stadium with a series victory this season.

On the weekend, Grahovac finished 6-for-16 with four RBIs, a double and a home run.

His biggest swing came in Saturday’s series finale when he laced an opposite-field, bases-clearing double to the right-center field wall. At the moment, it trimmed A&M’s deficit from 6-2 to 6-5.

The day before, Grahovac smashed a two-run home run to left field to put the Aggies up 13-4 in the second game of a doubleheader. It was his 14th round-tripper of the season.

With these two weekly accolades now on his resume, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound fish is well on his way to larger honors at season’s end.

In 40 games, No. 9 is hitting a ridiculous .329 and boasts an OPS of 1.068. Doing much of his damage from atop the Aggie order, Grahovac has driven in 49 and scored 56 runs for what is threatening to become a historic A&M offense.

In SEC play alone, he has accumulated double-digit home runs and has racked up 25 RBIs. Both of those rank second on the club behind All-American and future first-rounder Braden Montgomery (12 and 28).

Given those eye-popping numbers, expect Grahovac to continue garnering plenty of attention this season and beyond.

It would seem that SEC Freshman of the Year is likely within his reach.
