2025 Desert Edge (AZ) CB Jamar Beal-Goines commits to Texas A&M
Mike Elko & Co. have added to their defensive recruiting haul today with the verbal pledge of Jamar Beal-Goines, a 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback out of Desert Edge High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overall, this is A&M’s 10th commitment in this 2025 cycle, and he joins Katy Paetow’s Deyjhon Pettaway in the defensive backfield.
Beal-Goines can really run. He’s clocked a sub 4.3 40-yard dash and a 10.4 100-meter dash. He has recorded a vertical north of 40 inches and a broad jump of 11-foot-5.
Those elite athletic traits show up on tape, as well. Beal-Goines eats up ground in coverage quickly, and his explosiveness makes him a menace in closing space on ball carriers and pass catchers. There’s also a clear willingness to be physical as a tackler and negate yards after catch.
You can view his junior highlights below.
Beal-Goines chose the Aggies over offers from USC, Utah, Oregon, Missouri and several others across the country.

Sub 4.3 in high school?? Goodness gracious.
Wonder if Elko will let him run track.

He's got a great feel for reaching up and slapping a ball down at just the right exact moment, too, whether he's actively tracking the ball or not. You can't teach that, that's all instinct. And when he gets the ball in his hands on returns... dare I say he looks really, really good running 'em back.
Those kick blocks were impressive, he ran so fast the lineman couldn't even step in the way and he got there almost before the ball even got kicked.
Highlight videos don't show lowlights for a reason, but that's 5 star tape right there.
