Florida 20, Texas A&M 17: Defense in Review

By Billy Liucci
September 11, 2012

Lots of good, a little bad in surprisingly strong defensive opener

What went right: Where to begin? Eight sacks is a great place to start, as is the fact that defensive line and front seven in general did a tremendous job not only slowing down the Florida ground game but also pressuring Jeff Driskel. The Aggies allowed just two touchdowns and 307 total yards (an average of 4.7 yards per play). A&M stopped Florida on nine of 12 third downs and forced five punts.
