I seeded it using the raw votes and a random number generator to break ties (assigned before voting tabulated) so it does not have any built in bias by me.

*voting open until I wake up tomorrow
**questions are not required so you can skip those you have no opinion on (or have not heard)

REK on a rock album list but no Taylor Swift? The fix is clearly in
Take the trash out staff.

11 voters in and we only have 3 unanimous votes - and none of them are #1 seeds!!!!!

Lots of interesting races and some upsets brewing. Another 4 races are tied (5/5 with someone abstaining in each)

Rush R40 vs Kiss alive 2 was the toughest one for me to pick.

i'm right there with you........

thinking either KISS - Alive II or Iron Maiden - Live After Death will be an 11-seed that goes deep into the tournament.....

I'm not sure I can take this seriously without one Grateful Dead entry.

I was shocked myself - none of the three live albums in qualifying got more than 3 votes.

well, the Dead really weren't known for their live shows.......they focused on predictability, structure, and discipline in the studio......listen to any live album.......they all sound the same....

Am I reading this correctly? No Bob Dylan? I know his live performances can be idiosyncratic and I don't like most of them, but Before the Flood has some great versions.

Also had 3 albums in the preliminary round and none of them made the final cut for the tournament.

Results are in - and we've got some upsets!!!!

Biggest shocker maybe:
#16 seed Paul McCartney and Wings taking down Texas own beloved Robert Earl Keen.

And we had #11/#12/#13 seeds win by one or two votes:
#13 BB King taking down Alice in Chains
and
#12 Bruce Springsteen taking down U2 (and the other U2 entry lost as well)
and
#11 Iron Maiden taking down sentimental 80s fave Journey

Elsewhere three #9 seeds won which is not that big of a shock but some big names went down:
#9 The Rolling Stones took down one of the Jimi Hendrix entries
#9 Pink Floyd took down all of Woodstock
#9 Led Zeppelin took down Queensryche

Otherwise the favorites won, although the #2 seeds fared better than #1 seeds in every bracket. And the biggest runaway race was Led Zeppelin (SRTS) with 98% of the vote vs Motorhead. All three Led Zeppelin entries won.

I'll have the Round of 32 posted to vote shortly - meanwhile here is the bracket result for Round of 64:
