I can't remember the name of the group or the state....but what was the name of that group of people that bought or tried to squat on some land in the northwest somewhere and tried to set up a new colony.

Tried to grow food and everything. Managed only to build a tiny, rickety bridge of a three foot wide stream.

What was that group? It was only about ten people. Only one or two girls.

Oh, you are talking about those nutballs in Colorado. They leased some high desert and we're going to "decolonize" it.

No that was in Portland or Seattle, can't remember which.

The one he is talking about was Hammer something I think. Out in the middle of nowhere. Total, laugh out loud failure.

Classic wiki BS.

The organization was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019, by ex-members of the African People's Socialist Party, and has undergone a transition from far-left politics to far-right politics.

People often describe the political spectrum as a horseshoe. My experience has led me to believe it's more circular than anything. When you start getting into the extremes, especially socially, the lines between left and right get blurred.

Did you read this link? Its a crazy story. Started off commie in 2019 and is now accused of Trumpism and far right politics. Wow they must have wondered off the far left plantation big time and are now accused of being Russian tools.

Its insane and a must read.

While the actions the extremes may take might look similar, the under-pinning ideology still couldn't be further apart. The right and the left might agree on revolution for instance, but not for the same reason or for the same result should they succeed.

Black Hammer Party trial postponed for members charged with kidnapping in Georgia

Members of a Georgia-based Black separatist group arrested after a SWAT standoff and alleged kidnapping and sexual assault are will have to wait a while longer for their trial in Fayette County.

Fayetteville police arrested 36-year-old Augustus Romain and 21-year-old Xavier Rushin in July 2022 in connection with the standoff at a home in the Woodbyne subdivision off of White Road. They were set to start their jury trial Monday, but now a judge has pushed the case to the spring.

According to investigators, officers responded to the home on Selwyn Court after a man called 911 and claimed he had been kidnapped by an organization. The man told the 911 operator that he was being held against his will in the home's garage.
Police tracked the call to the neighborhood and saw someone waving their hand out of the home's garage window.

After surrounding the home, officers asked everyone inside to come out. While nine people exited, Fayetteville police say they determined one more person was inside and tried to make contact.

Hours later, a police robot discovered 18-year-old Amonte T. Ammons dead from what police say was an "apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head."

In the warrant released to the public after the arrests, the Fayetteville Police Department says that two men had been forced at gunpoint from part of the home into its padlock-locked garage and were not allowed to leave.

I'll take a stab. The left believe that Republicans are fascists. Hence when these (seemingly to them) radical leftists get exposed as actual socialist fascists, these idiots think that they have swung to being Republicans.

Anyone who doesn't toe the line 100% for all-in, radical, LBGTQ inclusive, baby killing communism is deemed a far right-wing radical. Also, these same all-in lefties that embarrass the all-in lefty movement and need to be marginalized to control the damage can also be deemed as far right-wing radicals, so you are probably corret.

  • The Black Hammer Organization's primary ideology is anti-colonialism, although they also promote far-right, antisemitic and anti-Zionist ideas.
  • The leader of the Black Hammer Organization is Augustus Cornelius Romain Jr. AKA "Commander in Chief" Gazi Kodzo.
  • At its peak in the summer of 2020, the group boasted a few dozen members in chapters across the country and Kenya. By 2022, most of its chapters have become inactive, and its numbers have dwindled to, likely, no more than a dozen active "Hammers".
  • The group holds protests against social issues such as Covid vaccine mandates, U.S. support for Ukraine, and the negative portrayal of January 6 insurrectionists. They also engage in street preaching and hand out food and face masks to the homeless population.
