I need to connect my shop to the house. It is about 100' between the buildings. I cannot lay cable due to a road being in the way. I have a router in my house. What equipment do I need? I have 1 laptop in my shop.

I preface this with I'm not an expert.

I have an Asus Router (I think it's 4 gps) and a separate Arris Surfboard (2 gps). Way more than I'll ever need.

I have 1.5 acres, and get a good signal in the back yard.

Someone else cab probably give a better answer.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Is the shop on a circuit from the house or its own? If same, powerline ethernet might work. https://a.co/d/eFIr8Lr

If separate, a point to point antenna with access point in shop will be easiest to set up. Any cheap access point or old router should work on the shop end of the antennas below. Other end needs plugged into your house network via ethernet. If your router is not on that side of the house, powerline ethernet from router to wall socket nearest to where you will set up antenna. Use flat ethernet cord to run out window under the seal so no hole punching needed if one is available.

Make sure you get something as fast or faster than your internet connection.
