Ah, I think that is the ever identifiable, "old hamburger bun" mushroom. They typically grow in the bottom of my bread bin in my pantry.

Last year we sodded over dead areas from freeze damage and these are only in that area. I was removing them before the dogs ate them. Shoulda knew better.

Pretty sure that's a Bolete. Not sure of the exact species but certainly don't take my word for it.

Thanks for the input. I picked them up before the dogs got them but they came up overnight.

Agree it is a bolete... several species are edible, but I'm nowhere near an expert on mushrooms and wouldn't advise eating it without a positive ID from someone who is.
