Since putting out new leaves, this bald cypress has started to get increasingly brown week by week. It is at the edge of a pond, so obviously not a water access issue. There is another more established cypress on the edge of the same pond that is totally healthy. We planted about a year ago as a memorial for my dad (buried his ashes under it, as a forestry major this was his favorite kind of tree) so obviosuly a ton of sentimental value in keeping it alive. Was going to swing by our local nursery for assistance but hoping someone might have some ideas. Located in Magnolia, TX.

When I was at mom's a week back it didn't look too bad to me, but she said it has gotten browner. I think the really dark brown and almost falling off in the last picture is what she is talking about.
Maybe needle blight?
