Texas A&M adds former UCF DL Joshua Celiscar via transfer portal
Texas A&M continues to attack the transfer portal, and Mike Elko & Co. have once again added a highly experienced and productive defensive lineman to the fold.
Following a weekend visit to College Station, defensive end Joshua Celiscar announced his commitment to the Maroon & White.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound standout was a three-year starter and two-time captain at UCF. He started 39 of his 50 games as a Golden Knight, recording 156 tackles (89 solos), 24.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, five forced fumbles and an interception.
He originally chose UCF as a three-star defender out of Winter Haven (FL) in the 2020 recruiting class, and the Aggies were able to fend off the likes of Louisville, USC and Georgia Tech for his commitment out of the transfer portal.
A May graduate, he will arrive in College Station in June as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.
Hope he gets healthy but he is having symptoms of unfortunately being one of those guys that is just often hurt. Like Chapman. Hate to see it.90ags said:
Good pickup, but begs the question if we are getting ready for some news (spring departure, injury, etc.). Aware GBD still trying to get healthy, but hope he's back for next year.

nice pickup that should allow shemar turner to potentially be used more as a defensive tackle than defensive end.
