I hope he attains the same level of success that Billy the snake achieved and is running from reporters while pretending to talk on his cell phone in season 2.
Ah, are you talking about Billy Clyde?

Kentucky basketball fans demonstrate once again that they are among the most arrogant fanbases in the world.
Wins in a tough league.
20+ years living in Waco, TX.
Built the program from literally nothing.
Great hire on paper.
I think Jamie Dixon would have also been a great hire.
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough
Baylor basketball fan = Baylor football fan.
Tough choice. I'll just hate all of them.

As @keithtaylor21 first reported, Scott Drew did receive an offer from Kentucky last night.

Was told this morning that he has the "itch" to coach at Kentucky, but his wife is "very introverted". He also has a daughter who attends Baylor and two sons in high school.
They spent…
My BBN scouts tell me there is a special guest in Lexington right now - I wonder if he is visiting the beautiful horse farms ? Ha ha - yes SCOTT DREW is in town is it to schedule @KentuckyMBB ?

Great lunch spot in Waco on a rainy day. No better friend and supporter than Eric Shero and Alliance Bank!💯 pic.twitter.com/OP2OfYNhnZ

I am told (via a text screenshot) that someone saw the picture of Scott Drew eating at the Mexican restaurant in Waco. They figured out which one it was, called it and had the waitress go over and say “we need you in Lexington”

That's not all, digital reconnaissance was involved

If Drew leaves, I'll be interested in what becomes of Baylor basketball. Have they jumped to a level where success is likely to be sustained, or is their success Drew-dependent? I don't follow the program, so I have no idea.
I'd imagine something similar to what Tech has seen with Beard's departure. Still a solid team, but not a national contender.
I think it is entirely dependent on who they hire to replace Drew. Baylor has enjoyed a sustained level of success under Drew so it isn't like they are coming from out of the blue.Seven Costanza said:

Drew staying at Baylor
Unpopular opinion on TexAgs (not necessarily the bball board, just TexAgs in general), but I'm glad he's staying. It's cool that he rebuilt their program from the ashes, actually turned into a really good coach along the way, and has turned down "better" jobs to stay there 20 years

I like when coaches of "lesser" programs turn down jobs from the "big boys".
it keeps the good teams spread out more and those coaches usually stay successful and have long careers at their school.
then that school becomes known as a "power" school in the sport.
Mark Few at Gonzaga is a great example of this.
