Not mid week related but thought this was a good place to ask
After the end of SEC play will any of the top 4 played a significantly more favorable schedule
I am guessing playing 10 series and everybody is good except Auburn and Mizzou that the SOS with regards to SEC play is close
trouble

Go Queens!

it's a bit tricky to analyze

A&M missed Kentucky and Tennessee but also missed Missouri

Arkansas missed Tennessee but played Kentucky and Missouri

Kentucky missed A&M but played Arkansas and Auburn

Tennessee missed A&M and Arkansas but played Auburn

this is why the committee relies heavily on RPI -- tough to sort all this out
W
9:42p, 5/6/24
a little more...

Kentucky and Tennessee also missed Mississippi State

so the Vols did not play the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place West teams

Queens University is a smaller private school with a pretty strong swim program. They were D2; not sure what their status is now as an athletic program.

We've known several kids who have gone to Queens for swimming from our community.

Was thinking the same thing. My snarkey response was going to be "is that Charlotte, Tennessee?" There is also a Charlotte, TX fyi. No baseball school there as far as I know but didn't know there was even a Charlotte, TX (or actually a Charlotte, TN) until now.

Queens University of Charlotte (North Carolina) Royals. Royals makes sense. Moved up to DI in 2022. They suck. Lost 2 of 3 to Lipscomb. Hehe.

Queens College of New York, the Knights (also makes sense), are still DII. As far as I know Queens University of Ontario and Queens University Belfast (the ivy league of the UK) does not have de beisbol. Queens Belfast does have Hillary f***head Clinton as current Chancellor.

Oh yeah, Queens has an rpi of 270. At least they are better than Bellarmine.

I saw Kendall mention yesterday that the mystery cancelations had started but he did not mention what team was canceling. I do not see any SEC cancelations yet.

Tenn also lost to Lipscomb, 9-6, at home, not that that matters. Because it didn't seem to bother the voters in polls.

I know. It's why I mentioned them. UT also bludgeoned Bellarmine. Queens is between the two in rpi. Mainly though I just like saying Bellarmine. Who are the Knights. Bellarmine plays Lipscomb and Queens Royals of Charlotte, which will be a bloody revolution, the next two weekends. Cause I know everybody is interested in this info.

No one is. RGV and their elite 218 rpi...and sips' daddy.

Winthrop has already been run-ruled once by South Carolina early in the year. So they are out for revenge. Probably.

Winthrop also lost to Queens of Charlotte to bring this full circle. And split with Charlotte of....Charlotte. However, they did beat blue blood Davidson. Old friends of ours.

RPI = 8.

Why rankings are good for Kendall's pocketbook but not picking national seeds.

Except a road game against a team with a 29 RPI is not one you tend to avoid if you are trying to bolster your résumé.

With the #2 RPI they're probably more worried about rest than RPI. I would be.

Florida is hanging on for dear life against USF, 3-1 top 8

Florida is 23 in RPI, but 10-14 in conference and more importantly, 24-23 overall. Hang on tonight, and they will be 2 games over .500 (and you can't get an at large bid with a losing record; don't think .500 is allowed, but I'm not sure about that). But, they host UK and travel to UGA to end the season. They are desperately trying to add a couple of non-conference games to give them some cushion, but until then, this is a must win game tonight.

Must be at least 1 game ABOVE .500.
