Just one of those games tonight. It sucks because the NY Rangers lost and we would have been up by a point for the Presidents Trophy.

8 of the 37 presidents trophy winners have won Lord Stanley.
That's over 1/5 (20%) of the time. Meaning the 15 other teams split the remaining 79%.
If you compare that to other sports it seems low, but hockey playoffs are built different.
1st place has had a dry spell recently, but I think the Eastern conference teams winning it so often recently is part of that.
Plus, the last time Stars won the presidents trophy we won the whole damn thing. Bring it.
