I'm looking for Federal American Eagle or Frontier 5.56. I looked on Ammoseek and the cheapest I could find is 57 cents a round. Has anyone seen reliable 5.56 for cheaper anywhere else?

So that's why they sold out

What's wrong with the PMC for $0.46/rd?

I find it to be dirty and not very accurate. Midway has IMI for 55 cents, so I might just go with that and stock up.

Gorilla just did an ammo drop of the 8.6 285gr. Should sell out soon:

I know this is going to seem stupid but I still keep my S&W 629 Mountain Gun loaded with .44 special in my closet. When I moved to AK I had three handguns but sold one(a steel frame Baby Eagle in .40) and had a friend keep the other two for safekeeping before I left. I got there and that 629 was the first gun I bought just as soon as I got my in State license. That thing went everywhere with me up there. Since moving back to the lower 48 I switched out magnums for specials but it has always stayed within arms reach. It is the last gun I would sell. I would be homeless and there would be Agsalaska walking down the street pushing a grocery cart with my .44 on my belt.

Anyway I was almost out of ammo for it and they long since discontinued that stuff so yesterday I got a box of Double Tap 240gr semi wadcutters going about 950 fs. Got that and a box of Super X .45 Colt for my Marlin. Hoping to make the range this afternoon.

Edit to add picture. Old ammo and new ammo

For those that do not want to order on the internet Academy has 250 packs of Monarch 115gr 9mm for $59.99. And they have a bunch of 10% off right now for cops/teachers/etc.

Not sure where it's from but it's not Tula. It's clean and accurate. I wouldn't be surprised if it was repackaged Norma or Geco or something. PPU maybe. It's good stuff.

Trying to find a subsonic 22 round I like so the last two weeks I've bought some of all I could find.

Not a peasant so I do reload, 2,400 rounds of practice 9mm last weekend.

That 9mm looks like a **** ton of work. How long did that take?

Just a few of hours with the Ammobot. When I had to crank it by hand I used to do a few hundred a night. Now I'll crank out 1k in a couple of hours. It runs around 1,200 rounds per hour but I take breaks, not fun to stare at for an hour straight.

What are you wanting to shoot the sub sonic 22 out of? I see you have some SK long range and that is good stuff, but in my experience, most rimfire ammo labeled "sub sonic" is not worth shooting. Target ammo is all subsonic. Just stick to match grade ammo from the regular players, SK/Lapua, Eley, RWS, Wolf even some CCI.

Those look great. Are you casting and powder coating yourself?

The SK I already had for a PRS rimfire build. The rest is just for practice with a suppressor without bothering my neighbors. Hoping something will cycle in a semiauto but if not I'll just shoot it out of bolt guns.

The 9mm are from Blue Bullets I like the coating best from the 10 or so coated bullets I've tried. Priced well and they come in nifty plastic boxes.
