There is a license to sell growlers. Brewpubs generally have them, and bars can get them as well. Rockwell tavern sells em. Like $10 for the growler an first fill up.

Edit. Nm. Your post said 'yesterday', it tricked my drunk ass, since it's actually Sunday now.

Given the holiday, i finally tried out the Pumpkinator this evening.
Lets just say ill really have to be in the mood for it the next time i drink it, and that wont happen until its cold outside or around the holidays. Its definately an acquired taste, a little more alcoholy than id like but definately pumpkinpie-esque.

Just tastewise dipshit, I'm not beetching about the content.
I've had several higher ABV brews that don't have quite that burn or taste

Towards the end, the Pumpkinator tasted like the smell of a pumpkin scented candle or bowl of holiday potpourri

I've got another bomber for that purpose.
Just wanted to open one to try to see what all the fuss was about. Wouldn't go ape*****or across town to get it, but an interesting seasonal brew.
Still anxious to get into the Clutch in the fridge

per Jock 07's recommendation
Grabbed the last sixer of Deschutes Hop Trip I saw at Specs yesterday.
Amazing pale ale.
available on a limited scale from Oct to Dec. What's special about it? They pick the hops and have them thrown into the kettle within four hours. Very fresh, tasty beer.
to be completely honest, Deschutes may be my favorite brewery right now. Everything they put out is money.

Wasn't too impressed...but it was after drinking a few other beers, so maybe my pallet was off.
I've got 1 more I'll try by itself soon

Also, for those Maui Brewing fans, I found Bikini Blonde at Central Market late last week.
First time I have seen anything other then the 3 standard Maui brews here in Texas. (mana wheat, coconut porter, big swell ipa)
One sip takes me right back to laying on the beach in Maui.

Opened my last home brew, and can honestly say it is one of the better beers I have had in awhile.
7:48p, 11/3/11
Drinking my bottle #2 of pumpkinator. WAY too much alcohol taste (and smell). Totally overpowers the flavors.
I'm not sure if this one is all that different from the previous bottle, or if the fact that'd I'd had three beers prior to opening #1 made that much difference.
Long story short, I will never buy pumpinator again.
If I want to taste alcohol I'll drink scotch.

No can do. I'm gonna be stuffing my face with beer and sausage and other horrible things all weekend.

My suggestion for Karbach is start out with the Double IPA and Lager before getting the IPA. IMO the Double Ipa is Hoppier than the IPA.
And the Lager is very much like a pale ale.

thanks for the update. a cask-aged one would be good, though. unfortunately i don't think i can make it up there this weekend. i have had it on tap at gingerman. i just wanted to get a bottle or two to age.
