forgot to say BJ's brought their pumpkin ale back recently. It's a great pumpkin brew, pretty close to DFH IMO. Give it a shot while it lasts.

Well, starting off with this, we'll see how this Friday night ends up

Tried two new beers (for me) last night:

1) St. Arnold's - some type of fall seasonal brew that I can't remember the name of. It wasn't Oktoberfest or Pumpkinator or Christmas Ale but it was a dark, spicy fall beer. It was just okay for me and I don't think I'll get another sixer anytime soon. Anybody know what I'm talking about? I can't find it on their website.

2) DFH Palo Santo Marron - holy crap this stuff packs a punch. I didn't realize until after finishing that it's 12% abv. It's a dark, creamy beer that's a tad sweet for my taste but works well as an after dinner drink. This is the perfect season for dark, sweet beers though, so if you're in the mood, I'd highly recommend.

Not Elissa either. I'll report back when I get home. It has an orangey label iirc.

Santo is also what I was thinking... Except for the spicy adjective.

Had my first one this week as well. Glad to hear it's so strong, I thought I was just turning into a wimp, haha.

My bad it was Sierra Nevada Tumbler. I blame the Palo Santo for my hazy recollection.

I had a couple new beers last night. In addition to the oaked arrogant *******, had a full sail wassail, xmas beer, a BrewDog Mikkeller Divine Rebel (draft), barley wine, and full sail session fest, a red lager. Also had an ommegang abbey ale and oskar blues dale's pale ale, both which are go tos now a days.

i'd recommend all of em.. the barley wine had some punch, comes in at about 13% abv! Had to do a half pint on that guy.

had all that drank by 7pm

had a bunch of lagunitas fusion 7 cask aged at liberty station last night. very good

started the game with a pint of Spaten Optimator.

now hitting the Hofbrau Dunkels hard.

Karbach tour was awesome, they've got a NICE facility to be starting out in!

I would have rather been there than up here in Norman today.

Wife went to store in 3rd quarter because "I yell too much". Came back with Sailing Santas. I love that woman.

Same here. Although I did find two solid restaurants up here with nice beer lists, which I needed after that third quarter.

SA rolling out Sailing Santa bombers next week.

at a chimay dinner a while back, the guy alluded to this happening. He also mentioned that US soil is fair game for an authentic trappist beer, as there are trappist monastaries all throughout the USA. It's only a matter of time.
