I knew that nickel nuts....

I want to try surly so bad

Yeah I get it whenever I go over to Minneapolis or Fargo; I could bring you some next month when I'm back in Texas if the guy who was supposed to pick me up some this past weekend got it for me; and as long as it won't blow up in checked luggage

I really like the flavor of the commercial suicide, however can't stand drinking a beer that is 3.2%

i had a jester king commercial suicide at flying saucer and I couldn't even stomach it. it was my first beer of the day at noon and had a pretty bad hangover.. but i've never not drank a craft a beer.

I think their point was first to create a good session beer, and second to show that just because a beer is low in gravity it can still taste great

i don't care what they were trying to do.. it was not a good first impression for me.. but i'd try their ipa if i come across it..

I went to the Texas Beer Fest and came away being most impressed by a new Texas only distributed cider, Leprechaun Cider.

Tried
-No Label again, and it has gotten better, but I still brew better stuff and I am new to the hobby.
-New Republic-Out of College Station said they just got their permits the day before, the people they had there were not knowledgable, and the beer was awful(maybe they will get palatable with time, like No Label)

tried a six pack of ruby red bird. i didn't even finish the one beer i opened. i gave the rest away. not a fan to say the least.

Let's talk about this.....

Why does Shiner Blonde need to be lighter?

Did you talk to Dean or John? They are the owners and both really knowledgeable. Dean is a beer judge nationwide actually.

I thought the Bellows was good, but maybe I'm just a homer since I live in the BCS.

they released that stuff @ the musicfest in Steamboat back in Jan. I guess it is their attempt @ a bud select or something.

Didn't know that me posting the types of beers that I enjoy while living in Houston would cause you to get so butthurt. The thread was entitled Houston Beer Thread, no? Didn't know that only fools drink those 2 beers. So what do you get out of generalizing with a ridiculously stupid statement like that?

Just because I'm not some beer snob and don't like the same beer you do CATAG doesn't mean I'm trolling.

Just had a Maui Brew Mana Wheat.

Paid $10 or so for a sixer at Specs, but this beer is probably just took the top spot in my summer beer rotation.
This is probably the perfect brew to drink while I'm out grilling...

I normally dont like any fruity beer, but this is a great wheat beer brewed with hawaiian pineapple juice in it. different, yes, but man...they nailed this one...

The Maui Brew coconut porter is also AMAZING. Like you I don't normally like sweet beers but the hint of coconut is amazing.
