All this beer talk is making me thirsty. Anyone have a company Christmas party I can crash? I'm off work for the next two days so I need to get some drinking in to prep for the game on Thursday.

I dont know if i ever did
AND, the bottled Sailing Santas are quite good. I bought three at HEB about an hour ago and I may be drunk by the time the Mrs. gets home

So glad to finally have RA Coffe Porter back on draft!
Sailing Santa was suprisingly good. I'd rather just buy a six of Christmas Ale and fresh Elissa and blend it myself.

Does anyone know if Buffalo Bayou is through with their first batch yet? Their brewery ie next door to my friend's recording studio, so I'm curious.

Picked up a sixer of Deschutes Jubelale (sp?) at specs earlier. Im curious to see how it is. I snagged another bomber of rogue chocolate stout too....that stuff is great.

Spent the afternoon sampling the Rougue Voodoo Doughnut with BSD today.
Not as sweet as expected, the smokey aftertaste is a bit much, but a fun out of the ordinary brew to share with some friends after dinner (i wouldnt drink a whole bottle alone)

Also tired the Karbach Rodeo Clown IIPA again, and also the Karbach 'Yule Shoot Your Eye Out'
The Yule was Christmas in a bottle and kicks the sh*t out of Saint Xmas ale. Would be great for the cold weather over the holidays. Too bad it will start drying up soon with the limited release this year.

BRC restaurant on Shepherd is doing a beer dinner with Breckenridge and Victory breweries on December 6th. It's not a dinner where the brewers stand up and talk but more of a one on one dinner with the brewers serving you as you're ready and giving you a more personalized explanation of their beers. And since it's this format, you don't have to be there right at 6:00, you can come whenever, up until around 8:30pm I believe.

Feel free to jam THIS as you read the following post
Gettin into the Clutch tonight! First impression, i dig it! Not as 'sour' as some that are out there, but dark with a light brown head. Strats off slightly sour (but not overpowering) & Finishes a little chocolate-y and dark malty but rounds out smooth. They say its 80% stout/20% dark sour
i give it 3 beards of approval:

Had Yule shoot your eye out, at the saucer that was delish, and I am not really a fan of most Christmas beers.

I hit up karbach since my friends were selling brats at the tour.
that lager recipe can't be finished...way too bitter on the finish.
the rest of the beers were good, I thought hopadillo was the best one.
they did not have the Yule though.

I need to try Rodeo Clown again. My first round with it was less than impressive. But it just wasn't hoppy enough to me for a DIPA. I was more a fan of Hopadillo. But like I said, I need to give it another shot. I like all their other beers.
