I'm sipping a Trumer Pils right now. I found four Pliny the Elders at Sunshine Foods in St Helena that are packed up and ready for the flight back to the Tine.

Also, Silverado wasn't bad. I had their pale ale with a lamb burger, and enjoyed it. Had we not stopped there we wouldn't have found our way into Freemark Abbey, and that turned out to be our favorite winery by far.

Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye may be my surprise beer of the year so far.

One of my favorite new beers. Had high hopes, and they delivered.

Has anyone tried DFH Aprihop? I saw it at the Buffalo Speedway HEB today, but didn't pull the trigger.

This past Friday I stopped at Buccees on 290 to get gas.

While waiting I noticed that every hispanic worker that went in came out with a case of Bud Lite. I must have counted about 10 different guys all with the exact same purchase. Then right before I leave I see two white guys each come out with a case of Corona.

Just thought that was kind of ironic.

Nice try, but everyone knows hispanics don't purchase beer in larger than 6-pack quantities

I'd love to see Summer Pils make it through the end of August, but I'm not holding my breath. At this pace, they'll do a July 4th weekend release of Oktoberfest.

60 lbs of Jalapenos were used to make the 15 barrels of Jalapeno Ale. 30 lbs are thrown in at the beginning of the boil, seeds and all. The other 30 lbs are roasted and then put into the boil, the last 30 minutes of the boil.

This is a very drinkable beer. The aroma is a very strong jalapeno smell. The taste is not overpowering but a mix of hops and jalapeno taste.

i hate to tell you this no label, but gimmicky beers is not the pathway to riches.

i might try a sip at your tour, but that's about it.

After trying Ghost Face Killah I'm a little leery of any chili based brew. I think my throat is still burning from that stuff.

Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye on tap at Chatters on Eldridge. As mentioned above, a very nice brew.

Also, Hay Merchant said to have NCAA tournament promo, each team is assigned a beer, winnig beer is 1/2 price

I decided to give Weisse Versa another shot today. I have to give it a thumbs up. On a hot day, I think I could pound them all day long. I also picked up some Hopadillo that I plan on trying later.

Came to onion creek after a concert and they were just out of the pontificator...not sure if anybody in town has this left...

Jh, Hopadillo is the best of the bunch.

The thing about Karbach...I don't particularly care for IPAs so that eliminates their flagship and another...Pontificator seems like something I might like

Had a taster of jalapeno ale from no label.. it's very mild. Has a big jalapeno smell, but the taste just barely comes through. Would be good paired with food that has jalapenos.. nachos or a burger.

also had independence lupulust tripel, my 2nd favorite style.. it was really good. 9% abv.

Anyone tried Clown Shoes Chocolate Sombrero? I picked up a bottle earlier. I really liked NB Cocoa Mole so I figured this was worth a shot.

Heb in kingwood (yes OTL and nothing but highschoolers and house wives) has a nice display of Karbach canned deliciousness - took home a sixer of sympathy for drinking after yard working was done - very tasty beverage and goes well with some flogging molly tunes - my neighbors be damned it's my holiday tomorrow so raise a glass and be merry

Did the No Label tour (big outdoor crowded as hell pinic with a band) today. The JalapeƱo brew was interesting. Their pale ales were ok. El Hefe was my fav of the four they had on tap.

All in all, I say Karbach is still way ahead. Though the NL Tour was more fun.
