Houston really has gone to the dogs. Two hooligans caused $350,000 in damage at a car dealership.

I feel like they came out of nowhere too. I had never heard of Stanley outside of my old man duck blind thermos and then over the last 2 or so weeks I've seen them around or mentioned like 50 times.
2 weeks?

These things have been a craze longer than that. They were sold out everywhere 2 or 3 Christmases ago (my wife wanted to buy one for her mom).

The new craze is because these housewife's two favorite things have combined (Target and Stanley cups).

I said I had not heard of them until 2 weeks ago.

I believe 312 was the homicide count for the City of Houston at the end of November

not sure what it is for all of Harris County

That's gotta be from just one or two of the wards. 312 seems low.

Close call here! A woman has a bullet lodged in her head after celebratory gunfire. The x-ray is messed up!

City Under Siege worthy because there was a cop in the video?
No, just a judgment call that somebody was about to get shot over one of these stanley cups.

So we'll see.

Also what color stanley cup you end up with?

Same! I had never heard of them til that "suburban mom starter kit" video made its way around. Obviously they were already a thing at that time...but I had no idea. Most humans are such f'in sheep.

Well, at least it's a slow enough year so far that we're *****ing about suburb mom vodka carriers.

Is a Stanley just a big Yeti style cup? I am lost. Is it the straw that makes it a Stanley?

This is the same Stanley company that has been around for 100 years. in 2019, their revenue was $74mm. in 2023, it was $750mm thanks to idiots.

I have my dads Stanley thermos from when he bought it back in the 1970's. Now kids are trying to pass it off as a new trend.

The idea that people need to have a 3 days supply of cold liquids with them if they take 1 step outside their house, car, etc is one of the top 1500 things that annoys me about todays society.

I say this to my wife all the time when She worries about the kids waterbottles being left behind. I guess water fountains don't exist anymore. NO kids carried around waterbottles when i was growing up.

What's even funnier is they caught those dogs and put them up for adoption! One of them was even a pitbull.

Here's a video of people fighting over Stanley cups. I didn't have this on my 2024 bingo card.

There's no fighting whatsoever in that video. Not even any pushing and only one person running a few spots up in line.

Stop getting our hopes up.
