Sounds like this qualifies as Jan. 1 crime.

Dude gets shot in the back area of a hookah bar on Gulfton. Makes his way to the front. Staff locks him out.

His Yelp review of this place won't be good.

I can't fathom H2K Hookah Lounge being a place you might get shot up in a back room after seeing the insta account.

It seems like a reputable establishment with an upscale clientele.

Probably a byob setup so don't have to worry about a liquor license.

So with Houston hosting the CFP National Championship will we see an uptick in crime/murder or will we see lower numbers (due to an increased police presence) compared to the first week of 2023?

Is there going to be a year end summary for 2023?

Need to know where we are starting off at to know if we end up better or worse this year.

I always thought hookah was where middle eastern students sat around and plotted death to America. Did not expect that video.

Every sophisticated & classy urban lounge I've scoped out on Google pics in the last couple years has hookah to go with the hookers.

I believe 312 was the homicide count for the City of Houston at the end of November

You can bet the titty bars will be lit that weekend, and the number of arrests will spike for every category of crime for the most part.

I feel like they came out of nowhere too. I had never heard of Stanley outside of my old man duck blind thermos and then over the last 2 or so weeks I've seen them around or mentioned like 50 times.

2 weeks?

These things have been a craze longer than that. They were sold out everywhere 2 or 3 Christmases ago (my wife wanted to buy one for her mom).

The new craze is because these housewife's two favorite things have combined (Target and Stanley cups).
