So I've heard conflicting news about this yesterday. Updates?

Just confirmed that Roast is permanently closed.
I hate that for the owners. Roast made the best Old Fashioned in town.

Facebook page seems to indicate they are doing online orders currently, so maybe they will end up surviving this thing. Good for them.

heard contradicting information that the crust is indeed closed from the owner of Cantina Laredo. I think he owns the building there. Still holding out hope that its not true

As many restaurants as he's put in the ground there, I'd consider him an expert.

Ate at La Vera- across from Walkons. Good food, huge portions and salad included in meal. Service was okay, but manager checked on us- guess server was rookie. Bigger menu than Oliveto- pizzas at next table looked good. I had chicken parmigiana- the chicken breast filled half the plate. Wife had shrimp stuff- it was good.

People actually thought Charro's food was good? We haven't been in a long while because every time we went the food was barely 1 step above taco bell.

Folks had been telling me how good the catfish was. We go to New Pier in White Oak, or Dukes in Lakeport a lot. both are good. We like catfish. Anyway we went to Bodacious on 155 and loop 323 . You get four big pieces and two sides for 11 or 12 dollars, i forget. They had a basket with 4 piece and one side for 9. They cook to order and serve them very hot. Not a lot of breading, and not greasy. We liked it. They serve it on Fridays and Sundays, rest of days are BBQ.AggieGunslinger said:

Morvant's Grill in Gresham. Saw a pic of their Cut Beef boudin burger. In the building behind where The Stand was. Looks worth trying.

Someone said it was already planning on closing but didn't have a final day nailed down until Covid hit. They ducked out under cover of the virus (not my rumor...just passing it along).
But yes it's officially closed.
