I love that site, but the values are completely bonkers on everything.

Case in point:

Should be done in a couple weeks. Lots of new maintenance parts, steering, suspension, a/c, new leather, new tires etc. paint will still suck. It will look good from 10-20' though. GM paint sure doesn't age well.

It's a 97 with 168k

Stock paint on all of them suck. Great on it being a 97, I personally like that dash better!

i spend a ridiculous amount of time on this site, there is always something interesting to kill time looking at. love the comments section especially, i almost always learn something. my uncle just sold his 911 there and he was extremely pleased with the results:

Speaking of BaT and motorcycles.... I had the same year but not nearly as nice and I'm a fan of the PDs.

My 99 2 door's paint is roached. Clear coat is slowly bubbling and flaking away. It looks somewhat ok from 20'. Paint is on my list after the trans gets rebuilt again.

Is your passenger b-pillar trim broken at the floor? I've been looking for a good one for nearly 3 years now.

Uhh..yeah. Not a chance.

Now, I do want one of these bad boys...

I have a buddy who makes stupid money who could easily blow what one of these would cost, and I've been trying to get him to get one for a few years.

That's going to go for a lot higher than the current bid. They're already $20K with a bunch of miles. A 2003 or 2004 would get even more money.

They do, it's called a Raptor lol. They can get way more money out bros when it's jacked up and has a back seat.

Weren't the 01s around $35K? I know it was 20 years ago but that was doable on a new grad budget. I had a coworker buy one a couple years out of A&M and I thought it was crazy but he made it work and I'm pretty sure he still has it and it still looks new.

The raptors are LOL slow compared to the lightnings of that generation. Plus the supercharged 5.4 with 4.10 gears in the rear got a lot of instantaneous torque to the ground which made them a lot of fun. The sound of the V8 with that loud eaton blower was hard to beat.

Keep in mind this was 90s technology. That video may not look impressive by today's standards, but it certainly was back in the early 2000s.

Yeah I don't really see the Raptor as a replacement for the lighting.

Single cab truck with supercharged V8. Bad ass.

Yeah, I've been watching them for a while. Being stock-ish and not ragged out, I'm expecting mid 20s. It's go for more if he would have taken the time to have the paint professionally done. Bad swirl marks in some of his pics.

Crazy, though, the thing still has the stock Eagles. The bed is probably trashed from the drop in liner, but It was 7k when I found it this afternoon and was already at 12k when I left work.

I want to say mine was $31,250 or something close when I bought it new in 2000.

Blows my mind the prices they're bringing these days. I bought my 2003 with ~20k miles for $18k in 2006. Sold it in 2011 for $14k w/80k miles having run many of those with a Kenne Bell. I thought I did well on the sale, and figured it'd be more than 10 years before they started to appreciate.

Now I'm seeing people asking $20k+ for ones with over 100k miles.

I really wish I hadn't sold it. Sonic blue is still my favorite Ford paint color

I sold mine in '04 with 43k miles and a ton of mods for $19k. Considering I never planned in getting any return for the mods, I felt okay with it. About three years later I realized that I had screwed up and have missed it ever since.

Mine was black, but sonic blue is one of my favorite colors for them. One of the guys on the lightning forum had a sonic blue with a 1"/2" drop, 20" Boyd Smoothie 2 wheels, a chrome grill, shaved side steps/rear bumper, etc and it was beautiful. I can still "see" the picture he posted some 20 years later.

Could be a good deal on a 100 series.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-lexus-lx-18/

I believe BaT takes 5% immediately and it's up to both parties to arrange payment & shipping offline.
Chewy
3:54p, 4/5/21
BAT takes a 5% buyer's fee so that's what they're taking immediately I believe. They're gonna get their money and then it's up to the buyer and seller to arrange payment and shipping.

They do have a shipping service you can add if you want as part of your purchase. My guess is it's probably cheaper if you do some searching on your own.
