Those are certainly cool and I wanted one when I was a kid.
I know a doctor that has The V8 version. He's also got an air cooled 911 turbo, Ferrari Testarossa, and a Ferrari 458.
My framing carpenter had one too but he recently traded it in for an Aston Martin.

Sure, I get it. But is it worth $50k of nostalgia when you get it home and have to replace the transmission and Optispark just like every other one?Rustys-Beef-o-Reeno said:Flaith said:

I normally would have agreed with you but regular old people are offering $50k above asking for run of the mill houses right now so obviously we just live in a fantasy land and $50k isn't crap anymore

It's a one owner that spent its life as a 2nd vehicle up in Dallas to a man who is now retiring to Belize. It's rough around the edges, but runs really well.
I am going to get a list out together of what I need to get ordered, but right now it needs tires, front end suspension/steering wear parts, A/C, and some replacement seat covers (blue leather!). It has 168k. Hood and roof paint isn't great.

For me a high school ride would've been a '70s or '80s squarebody one that was thoroughly worn out from too much fun out in somebody's pasture. Nobody had money for something brand new.JB said:

Just saw a restored late-80 to early-90s Ford Ranger extended cab. Beautiful truck. Wasn't able to get a pic in time.

No yellowed headlights? Sounds like a unicorn!
Those, Mustangs, and Lincoln Mark VII LSCs, I have no idea what kind of plastic Ford used for headlights but it was crap!

Oh, crap I was thinking full size truck. Ranger headlight lenses probably were the same stuff too, Ford used a lot of whatever it was around that time.
I don't remember the last time I saw one of those that wasn't in a junkyard or abandoned next to someone's house.

Damn, that is exactly my truck, bought new 23 years ago. I have an extra 180k miles and rust, unfortunately. It's just a work/chore truck now and keeps on going. I have no desire to get rid of it for something newer.
10:01a, 3/21/21
I had that same truck in Green at the end of high school, start of college. That's the one vehicle I regret selling.
