just a quick update for anyone interested in viewing some of Pinky's personal belongings.
I have loaned several items to the Museum of the American GI here in CS for them to display.
The museum is a neat place to see some rare & interesting military items, so I encourage anyone that likes militaria (or AWH history) to go visit them.
Below is a link that KBTX did a remote on. The story about Pinky is on part 3.

Hope you BUMP this annually and it helps on attendance at the Museum. Glad those items are being respected and available for us to go see now. I will make the effort now that I know about it. Gig'Em

Does the University have an official museum? I am not talking about MSC (at least as of the 90s), but an area of memorabilia and history of A&M.

I would be interested in contacting you as I'm doing research on the Rollins brothers. My grandfather was Joseph Guy.
New to this forum, joined after I saw your post. Not sure best way to communicate directly.
Thanks

I also have talked with his son who lives in the Wimberley area.
I have the 1938 Longhorn with your grand dad's picture in it, as well as the book he wrote: "Aggies, y'all caught that dam ol rat, yet?"Grol said:

Instinctive Action
Did you ever notice this,
When a fellow steals a kiss
From the righteous little maiden calm and meek,
Now her spiritual training shows
Not in the turning up her nose,
But simply turning around the other cheek?
