That's great news! Salzburg was already a great development destination for a wide variety of reasons, and with Marsch there it's a great place for Americans to get their feet wet in Europe.

Also - that's a great organizational attitude that really needs to exist more in MLS and be encouraged by USSF: develop homegrown talent into first team players and then send them to Europe so they can continue to grow.

Good to see Tyler Adams back in the starting lineup immediately after missing last game with a back injury. He played really well, drawing praise from the commentators.

He played all 90 mins as a 6. So far this year it seems like he's not going to be switched around as often. Last year Leipzig changed formation during a lot of their games, and when they did Adams was often the one who changed from DM to RB or vice versa.

Yeah, that's the way it gets scored unfortunately, but it wasn't due to any error on his part. Dove to save a low, wide shot that caromed off the post and hit him in the back.

Its basically the Gio Reyna show. This kid is so good, I can't believe he is only 17 (18th birthday is Nov 13). He might be the best attacking midfielder in Germany and he can't even vote yet.

He has special talent I've never seen from an American.

That's freaking nuts. He's younger than my 16 year old who doesn't do anything beside chores, school, band, and video games.

In reply to Out in Left Field Adams and Richards on the same field as Bayern-Leipzig had an entertaining 3-3 draw in Munich.

Adams started for Leipzig. First match this year I think where he got some time in midfield with one of their other 6's, and it was Adams who then played more forward of the two. He also played about 10 minutes or so at RB while Leipzig shuffled players around between substitutions.

Richards came on for a gassed Boateng with 10 minutes left and must've done well in that I didn't notice him at all... kept good positioning at a time in the game when Leipzig were advancing the ball into the final third frequently.

Pulisic says don't forget about me, guys!

That's a great goal, besides the obvious technique on the finish. He is available for the initial square pass, then takes one touch and feeds it out wide to have it served back in. Immediately after passing it he makes his run into the box, where a lot of midfielders I think would have been content to drift on the edge of the box after making hte pass he did.
