Yeah, they started doing this sometime in the past year or so for some unknown reason. They used to list them in positional order.

Perfect 1st half, score wise. Will let Klopp rest whoever he wants ahead of the weekend.

Darwin's first goal was an an absolute worldie supposedly (haven't seen it).
Time to empty the bench.

No idea the extent or what, but captain obvious this is a big blow (if he is out) with Man City up. He has been a lights out defender for awhile now.
Just brutal. It's just beyond ridiculous at this point.Unemployed said:

He didn't walk off with any noticeable limp so that's a good sign. Hope for nothing serious.hoosierAG said:Just brutal. It's just beyond ridiculous at this point.Unemployed said:

Walking and running with a pulled hamstring are very different things. I, too, hope it is not serious.
And of course, Salah scores on his return

Yeah cannot really complain with a 5-1 scoreline. I hope Konate was mostly precautionary bc we need him on Sunday.

And sounds like Konate was pulled for precautionary reasons, so fingers crossed he really is ok.

Just watched the highlights. What was wrong with Mo's goal? I didn't see anyone offside.
1:35a, 3/8/24
In reply to ChipFTAC01
Yeah Mo was clearly onside and they showed no lines or VAR replay on TV. There was no explanation at all. Not sure how they ruled that off. If they ruled it off bc of Gakpo who was in an offside position but not involved on the play they never said or showed any sort of explanation. Should've counted. Weird match. 5-1 is a great score line but Sparta coulda shoulda had 2-3 but Kelleher was lights out and they are horrible at finishing.

Lots of talk about Michael Edwards potentially coming back to the club.
Hard to think of a better transition from Klopp than Edwards + Xabi.

🚨 Michael Edwards close to agreeing senior role with FSG, including oversight of Liverpool football ops. If he accepts, Richard Hughes set to join #LFC as sporting director. Not done but talks advancing + resolution expected early next week @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/qt93jAk70d

With Klopp leaving, is this the best possible scenario for LFC? Edwards has reportedly been tracked by Man U, Chelsea, etc to fulfill various roles since leaving and he's turned them all down. Supposedly being very selective of what he wanted his next role to be. We all know Edwards was instrumental in bringing Salah to the club as well as orchestrating many of our most shrewd transfer dealings, including Sadio Mane, Fabinho, VvD, Alisson, Wijnaldum, etc. Does Edwards now have what it takes for what is surely to be a difficult, but hopefully great, second act? Many clubs have models and data like Liverpool now (frankly, some of them have probably based theirs off Liverpool's) so it'll be interesting to see if he has other cards to play.
As for Richard Hughes, he's been tracked by several of the PL big boys too. His transfer dealings (all in GBP) include Aaron Ramsdale (800k), Nathan Ake (20M), Dom Solanke (19M), David Brooks (11.5M), Philip Billing (15M), Lloyd Kelly (13M), Marcos Senesi (12M), Callum Wilson (3M), and Neto (free). Although, admittedly, all Liverpool fans, myself included, thought we robbed Bournemouth with that Solanke deal. But it's turning out to be a good piece of business with him being a top 5 goal scorer in the PL this season. However, he also has Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith (for a combined 21M) on his record too.
So with Edwards and Hughes in place, all that's needed is the super easy task of picking Jurgen Klopp's successor. Xabi Alonso? Ruben Amorim? Someone else?
Interring times ahead for Liverpool Football Club. But for now, let's enjoy the last two months of Klopp's reign. Bring on Man City! LFG!

It's basically past midnight now so it's gameday. I'm always angry when I think about City. I think we're due for a win.

Salah and Robbo on the bench are a surprise. But let's get these 3 points!
Also no Konate so hopefully no injuries to the back line today

If you look closely, the guy committing the foul is in a City kit. So no foul
