I don't hate it. That is a dangerous lineup

Working until 3 PM - I'll still be at the stadium by 3:30 since I live down the street - but decided to start early.

One beef I have is putting two high K rate guys right behind Seager. Would rather have Langford, Garcia, Jung. Other than that I love it.

Just remember, Langford still hasn't taken a real MLB at-bat, so there's no reason to plug him into the 3 spot. 5 is perfect imo.

Not 2nd guessing just throwing opinions and starting discussion. You know….what this board is for.

these are "discussions", not "criticisms"
Although I am sure Mr. Gigem takes note of the various suggestions from this thread and makes sure they get forwarded to Bochy

Wait I thought we weren't going to second guess Boch this year?

I personally would prefer seeing Langford a bit further down until he's proven himself.
That being said - I think we all are going to be shocked by just how good he is. The best offense in MLB is gonna be better. And I think Bochy knows it'll need to be for the first few months.

Speaking of Mr Gigem - does he have the easiest job on the planet right now? Admittedly, he earned it from all the years of hustling dummies like me to keep buying season tickets for - geez, 14 years in a row now?
But selling tickets Ranger games right now if like - well....

Was a joke. I'm sure I'll be griping about bullpen usage before the end of the weekend.

I agree. I'd push him down further to 7 or 8 and try to take some of the pressure off. But obviously they think he is ready or Bochy wouldn't put him there.

Not sure where the time has gone. This is my 10th Opening Day working for the Rangers

Well, in case you didn't know - the older you get, the faster life passes. That's what made last year so special. The Rangers moved here in 1972 when I was 10 years old and I'd waited since then for it.

Love the speed at the bottom of this line up. Should be able to create some chaos on the base paths.
2:50p, 3/28/24
Speaking of speed - what is Langford like? With his size, I'm guessing he's not the most fleet of foot.

Carter's splits against lefties are still pretty bad. He still needs to prove he's an everyday player.

8th for Carter? I know they are throwing a lefty, but that's pretty far down the lineup.

He was bad and they were bad defensively behind him. Loved seeing Wash go out there and do the old hand clap right before taking the ball.bmac_aggie18 said:

Interesting question I heard posed on The Ticket: Would you take Carter and Langford for ALROY or the field?
