Unfortunately, I'm a few decades away from anything like Boo's. I had an installer come out and give me a quote for a 240SF putting green/fringe turnkey setup. The quote was $4k, which was way more than I was expecting. Basic kidney bean shape about 12' x 20'. Is this high?

Sounds about right. I have about the same size and got a similar quote. When I asked the owner what the price was for paying cash no receipt necessary he said $3000. Love my green.

He quoted you almost 2k in labor.. Synthetic should only cost 10-$11 / sqft.. You have the company that did the grass at the Mc Donald's on Bryant do the quote?

I'm sure he will .. They have a store in Amarillo and he's been pushing synthetic turf all over the region quite a bit lately.. Hope it works out for you either way..

Wow that's dirt freaking cheap. I've looked into southwest greens and other Houston companies and nearly **** myself. 6 grand was minimum from SW Greens

ahh yeah. Good bump. Stick and Boo have some awesome greens.

I will say, with everything that happened, I'm a little upset(and surprised) that mfbarnes never showed us what his backyard green looked like. This thread was perfect for him.

That linked thread is amazing. Over 4 years to do all that himself. If he figures his labor at even $10/hr he has more invested in the backyard than the whole daggum house
