5 Aggies in the field in Houston this week - Palmer, Champ, Burgoon, Phillips, and Bennett. Not a chance there's ever in the history of the tour been an event with that many Ags in the field, right?

I'm pretty sure you are right.

Bennett with a pretty clean first round. T27 at the moment. It's too bad that you can't in some way apply points from a made cut on a PGA Tour event to your season total on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Gonna be there Saturday. If you know of an off the beaten path spot to view some cool shots please let me know.

I really enjoyed the stretch of 4, 5, 6, 7. Definitely the quietest part of the course and you can see a ton of shots. My favorite is the hill behind 6 green, as you can see shots come in and then turn around watch shots into a par 3. There's also a lot of shade between 4 and 5.

If I tried a swing like that, I would need an ice pack on my lower back after the round.

Sam's swing has been compared to Joaquin Nieman. Hope he has as much success.

Chandler is having a great round and has battled back to +1 after being +4. He's currently tied for 65th and the cut is normally top 70 and ties. It's projected to be +1, but anything can happen with the guys still playing.

Here's how things sit at the moment.

T18 Champ -2 (F)
T31 Palmer -1 (F)
T31 Bennett -1 (9)

T65 Phillips +1 (F)
-------Cut Line-----
T99 Burgoon +3 (17)

Bennett got it to -2 but doubled 16th (par 5) and bogeyed 17th to finish at +1.

Sorry, original post was intended for a different thread.

It would be nice to see Cam take advantage of this set up. It's playing long and wide open.

I'm curious to get people's thoughts on Cam's chances this weekend at the Valero. The course is long but not particularly difficult. Seems to fit his game, as long as he can make a few putts and strike his irons well.

I did some digging and he's missed his last two cuts there. Will be interesting to see how he does.

Don't love it. There's more of an emphasis on iron play there and he's lost strokes on approach every tournament this year

Interesting. It reminded me of the Sanderson Farms course, where he won for the first time.

Ryan had great playing partners before in John Rahm and then Scottie Scheffler. I guess he didn't have a lot of options since neither are playing this year.

And let's be honest, Ryan is really struggling right now. His Champions Tour resurgence can't get here fast enough for me.

Sweet eagle chip in for Chandler in Myrtle Beach. He followed it up with a birdie on the next hole. -4 through 7, 1 stroke behind the leader.

No Champ this weekend.
