What are some good destination type of places for the fall (no europe)? November-ish time frame? Would be celebrating a 40th bday so something NOT in TX and NOT Scottsdale. Wives would possibly be there as well. On the short list so far I have:

Cabo
Kiawah
Streamsong

and if no wives are involved, Bandon?

Doesn't have to necessarily be at a resort.

Went to Kohler, WI in October once and absolutely loved it. Played whistling straits and Blackwolf Run. Was beautiful as the leaves changed and the courses were in great condition. But October is the last month of the golf season there, and you do run the chance of having some cold weather. Accommodations were top notch as well.

Streamsong is great for a golf trip that time of year but not sure if the wives go.

Your wife doesn't want to go to Streamsong. The middle of nowhere doesn't accurately describe where it is.

Lol add Bandon to that list as well plus with Bandon you better hope it's 18 months to two years out for your trip.

it is. that's why Bandon was listed as a possibility if we leave the wives at home.

Since you're looking at 2025 it might be worth checking out Cabot Citrus Farms. Not sure if that will be more "wives" friendly than say Streamsong but might be worth a look. From a golf perspective it looks like it'll be awesome when it's fully built out.

Kiawah would have my vote if the ribs are going. Having Charleston close by makes for a great trip.

Tons of places in Florida to play that are quite nice in November.

Highly unlikely to be any more wife friendly. It is in the middle of no where. There isn't a "resort" aspect with a clubhouse or pool or anything like that.

I looked today and there seems to be a lot of development planned. It's just not very clear when the whole property will be finished

Rick Shiels has a YouTube round there recently and it will need some time to grow in but the course looks tough. Sand everywhere.

I think the courses at Harbortown are great. Plenty for the wives to do in Hilton Head. Rent a good house at Seapines.

The Karoo course is incredibly fun. Not overly challenging and very playable.

Vegas/Mesquite/St. George. You'll hit the over-seed timing perfectly.

When do they overseed? How long are they cart path only?
