Is it allowed to run natural gas line above ground in Houston? I have a difficult run from gas meter on one side of house to generator on back side of garage on opposite side of house. There are tight spots with numerous pool pipes, drain lines, and irrigation lines. I'm concerned there is not enough space in certain spots to dig out for buried line. Will definitely try to get the whole run buried but curious if it is acceptable to run above ground as well. Thanks

My neighbor's generator is setup with both the gas and electrical runs above ground. We're out in Katy, so it clearly can be done. Generator is set next to the house. They ran the conduit and pipe along the side of the house.

Generator Supercenter out of Tomball did the install.

Yes you can run it above ground. Also, could go through the attic.

Or

If you have a nearby gas line it may be possible to upsize your meter to a 2lb meter and install regulators at each fixture.

Then branch off nearby line for generator.
